DTN COMMENTS: The cash market remains quiet at midday with business
essentially done for the week. The few steers and heifers still waiting to
be sold are priced around 99-100 in the South, and 155+ in the North.
Beef cutouts are lower at midday (Choice 160.86 -.61, Select 154.51 -.93),
with light to moderate box movement (61.17 lds of choice cuts, 45.94 lds of
select cuts, 23.34 lds of trim, and 35.07 lds of ground). Cattle futures are
mostly lower with feeders losing more ground than their live counter parts.
